Position Overview
We are seeking a candidate with a strong technical background in application development. The candidate should have a background in computer science, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to communicate technical concepts to non technical project team members. The candidate will work closely with cross functional teams, including senior developers, project managers, product managers, and customers, to use software development best practices, understand requirements, and develop and implement solutions in Agile environments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with executives and other business leaders to identify requirements and improvements.
  • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data.
  • Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data.
  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions.
  • Structure large data sets to find usable information.

Position Requirements:

Position Overview
As a Lead Consultant at MindPetal, you will help our portfolio of government clients create innovate technology solutions that drive mission impact. In this role, you will work on collaborative, cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy automations using a variety of tools including UiPath, Python, AI/ML, and cloud-native technologies. You will also help MindPetal expand our technical and delivery capabilities by participating in internal AI Lab innovation projects and mentoring junior staff.

Position Requirements:

  • Full-Stack Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions, using Python, Microsoft Azure, UiPath, and other languages and tools as required to streamline business processes and improve efficiency. Solution sets may include layers across the entire application stack, spanning front-end, back-end, data, AI/ML, DevOps, infrastructure, networking, and communications.
  • ML, AI, and Cloud-Native Integration: Implement machine learning models and large language models within automation workflows and application features to enhance decision-making and predictive capabilities. Develop, deploy, and manage applications and related infrastructure resources on Azure.
  • Collaborative Client Service: Work closely with clients, business leads, product owners, project managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, define feature sets, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. Facilitate design sessions and code reviews that contribute to the continuous improvement of product architecture, coding standards, best practices, and automation resilience.
  • Project Administration: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for codebases and other solution components that ensure clarity and continuity, participate in Agile ceremonies, to ensure project alignment and progress, track and manage tasks using project management tools such as Jira, ensuring timely updates and transparent communication with the team.
  • Internal Development: Lead the development and execution of internal innovation projects, driving the exploration and implementation of cutting-edge technologies. Mentor junior staff by providing guidance, code reviews, and fostering a collaborative learning environment to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python and experience with automation frameworks and libraries; other languages like C# and Java may be considered.
  • Experience developing UiPath solutions; other UI automation tools and technologies like Selenium and Puppeteer are also acceptable.
  • Familiarity with full-stack technologies and development, including front end (Streamlit, HTML, CSS, JavaScript), back-end (APIs, JSON, XML, logical workflow, exception handling, monitoring and logging, microservices), and data stores (SQL, noSQL, Cosmos, MongoDB, blobs).
  • Familiarity with utilizing large language models (e.g., GPT, BERT) and their integration into automation processes, including RAG-based architectures and fine-tuning.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
    Familiarity with common ML model types and related data engineering practices.
  • Hands-on experience with deploying and managing solutions on Azure infrastructure; other cloud-native platforms like AWS and GCP are also acceptable.
  • Experience working with code repositories like git and CI/CD deployment pipelines.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in automation programming and full-stack development.
  • Demonstrable contributions in a project-based environment.
  • Previous experience working with machine learning models and cloud-native platforms is highly desirable.
  • Public sector consulting experience is a plus.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Project management and/or Agile certifications a plus (PMP, CSM, CSPO, etc.)

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Senior ServiceNow application developer responsible for implementing solution design using best industry practices, government policies, and guidelines.
  • Perform ServiceNow development, including ServicePortal, UI/UX, and process workflow.
  • Provide project management for the contract, managing a program with multiple tasks/workstreams.
  • Provide overall direction of program activities.
  • Manage and maintain contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer’s organization.
  • Experience organizing, directing, and managing contract operation support functions for multiple, complex, and inter-related IT projects.
  • Experience maintaining and managing client interface at senior levels of the client organization.
  • At least 6 years of current project management experience.
  • At least 2 years of program management experience.
  • Provide advanced support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting various complex software problems, implementing bug fixes, and performing root cause analysis.
  • Develop standard UI components for re-use across the application portfolio, leveraging AgularJS.
